The Corniche is a long road that extends almost 6 km or 4 miles from the Sheraton Hotel to the Hilton Hotel. There are several gardens lined all along the Corniche around the coastal boulevard that borders the city. The ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, loves greenery and gardens and fountains are the result of that love. The other important feature of the city is the fountains and can be seen on every intersection of the Corniche. For swimming enthusiasts, there are specified swimming areas defined which will be monitored by lifeguards. They will be trained and will be equipped with seven surveillance towers for the same. Almost 170 beach umbrellas will also be installed for those visiting the beach and who want to spend some time in the shade away from the hot sun. For enhances security in the sea, swimmers will be guided by the floating fences at 40 meters into the sea.

The Corniche will also contain a central building which will accommodate refreshment options, changing rooms and even a mosque for offering prayers.   1. Abu Dhabi corniche is also a sight to see. My first time to visit Abu Dhabi was on year 2008. I love the Pizza hut along the corniche. The giant clam (?) and the Dhows. Few months ago, when there was no travel ban yet to my work place, my colleagues and I used to spend 1 day in Abu Dhabi before our flight back to Pakistan for our monthly vacation. I hope I'll have a chance to visit Abu Dhabi again.
